A very nice win for the Highlanderettes. Waltham is a good team and their coach was very upset that they lost. This is the coach who is always trying to give Yolanda "advice" in the jumps. When the meet ended, who was giving advice then?? That's what I be talking about! Very good meet girls! We do not have much time to enjoy the Waltham win. Wednesday we travel to Peabody for another big meet. We beat team last year at Peabody, we can do it again. Dismissal at 2 pm. Go Girls!

April 13, 2006 - Coaches Comments

What a win! What a crazy day! The Highlanderettes dominated the Tanners at Tannerville at one point, we were up 53-19 and continues to put the smack-down. What a win! Everyone (who showed up) really performed well, in fact, everyone was great. This was a very tough week for us. Waltham is a good team and Peabody is Peabody. You gals were great. We now have a break, BUT it is very important that YOU be at practice. We have a long way to go, so don't go away from practice. Plus we have the GBL Fresh-Soph meet on Tuesday. We should win all the meets and be undefeated going into the Cambridge meet on May 10th, for the GBL Championship. Go Girls!

April 26, 2006 - Coaches Comments

A good win over an improving Everett team. We are getting better, we need to get really sharp for the GBL showdown on Wednesday May 10th at Cambridge. That's for the title. It will be a great meet. But first we have to beat Medford and Arlington next week, and of course, the Relays this Saturday. Don't forget 5$ for the cookout! Pay a captain. Ok. Back to yesterday, We must continue to improve to beat Cambridge EVERYONE must perform their best, runners, throwers and jumpers. It will  be a team effort when we win!
